If D. W. Griffith made porn. However, the women's make-up and hair look more Jean Harlow than Lillian Gish to me and that would place this film at somewhere in the 30s rather than 1912. "Birth of a Nation" was made in 1912 and was considered the hieght of movie making technolagy, and this film looks about the same quality. This is almost certianly a loop, maybe sold for "secret theatrical release" but more likely an 8mm stag film quietly marketed to guys for home viewing. It was nothing short of fantastic to see this.
